Smart Lecture Correction (SLC) is a global platform that connects English Experts from various countries, including Bangladesh, Kenya, Nepal, the Philippines, and Uganda, to provide high-quality writing skill development services to Japanese high schools. With over 200,000 students from more than 370 Japanese high schools already benefitting from SLC, our dedicated team of English Experts in Nepal is committed to providing a unique English learning experience. Students write topic-based essays, while correctors provide feedback to them. It's like having a virtual English teacher!
At SLC, we are looking for English experts who will be responsible for reviewing and correcting English papers of Japanese high school students, providing constructive feedback, and implementing strategies to enhance overall language skills. This role combines precision, communication, and empathy, ensuring that every interaction contributes positively to the student’s learning journey.
Strong background in English language proficiency
High grammar knowledge
Adherence to training session that will be organized by Japanese team
Correcting English papers i.e. topic-based essays of Japanese high school students
Learning and applying proofreading techniques
Collaborating with a team for quality assurance

Salary would be allocated on the basis on the number of essays reviewed per month (ranging from 30,000 - 40,000 NPR).
We are seeking a creative and passionate Mid-Level Full-Stack Developer with a minimum of 2years of hands-on experience in both front-end and back-end development. In this role, you will work on building innovative, scalable web applications that push the boundaries of modern technology. The ideal candidate will have in-depth expertise in React.js & Next.js, with familiarity in backend technologies like PHP, Node JS, MongoDb, MySQL, PostgresSQL.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and be deeply involved in both client-side and server-side development, contributing creative ideas and technical expertise to deliver high-quality software.
The Learning Facilitator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective implementation of the KUMON in-school program across multiple schools in Nepal. This role involves guiding and training KUMON class teachers, motivating students, and ensuring the overall quality of the program. The learning facilitator will also act as a Math Assessment Specialist, analyzing student progress, and developing creative solutions to enhance learning outcomes. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a passion for education, and the ability to think creatively to improve student engagement and performance.
Develop and maintain web applications using modern frameworks such as React.js,Next.js (front-end) and Node.js (back-end).
Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to translate design concepts into interactive and responsive user interfaces.

Math Assessment Specialist Duties:
Correct and evaluate math problems completed by students during free time.
Analyze student performance data to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement.
Conduct case studies on individual students to understand their learning patterns and challenges.
Develop and recommend personalized solutions to address specific student needs.
Creative Problem-Solving and Innovation:
Think creatively to develop new ideas and strategies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

Collaborate with the KUMON team to implement new initiatives or improvements to the program.
School Visits and Scheduling:
Conduct regular visits to schools during the initial 3 months to establish the program and build relationships with teachers and students.
After the initial phase, visit each assigned school once or twice a week on a rotational basis.
Manage time effectively to cover multiple schools and ensure consistent support.
Improvement in student performance and engagement.
Positive feedback from teachers and school administrators.
Successful implementation of creative ideas and activities in the classroom.
Timely and accurate completion of math assessments and case studies.
We are looking for a passionate Mathematics Corrector (Kumon Quality Assurance) to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to check and grade math papers of KUMON students daily and provide feedback to those students. The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of mathematics up to the high school level and at least one year of working experience.
Ensure accurate and meticulous correction of math papers, maintaining high standardsof precision and attention to detail.
Identify errors, inconsistencies, and misunderstandings in students' work, providing clearand concise feedback for improvement.
Accurately assign scores to individual test sections and overall assessments.
Reviewing students' mathematical calculations and solutions for accuracy and completeness.
Ensuring that corrections are made accurately and neatly on the worksheets.
Recording and maintaining records of students' progress and performance.
Collaborating with supervisor to address specific student needs and provide input on student progress if needed.
Visiting Kumon Center (schools), communicate effectively with teachers, Kumon lab instructors, addressing specific student needs and offering insights on student progress if needed.
Manage workload efficiently, prioritize tasks effectively and ensure timely completion of corrections to support the overall Kumon program.
Maintain strict confidentiality of student information and graded papers, adhering to privacy and data protection policies.
Handle student records and materials responsibly, ensuring they are stored securely and accessible only to authorized personnel.
Seek feedback from supervisors, mentors, and colleagues to identify areas for growth and implement suggestions for improvement.
Foster a collaborative environment by actively participating in team meetings, sharing best practices, and contributing to the collective success of the Kumon center.
Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and ethical behavior while carrying out correction duties.
