Business Verticals
We are engaged in Education, Tourism, Agriculture, Technology and Consultation.
Education
Our mission as a social business focuses on enhancing education quality in Nepal through innovation and partnerships. Despite 30,000 students leaving Nepal yearly, challenges persist: 5% of children remain out of school, over 60% drop out in primary, and high school pass rates are just 48%. To combat this, we’ve built 200 community schools, trained 100 teachers, and introduced the KUMON program to foster critical thinking. We also support adult education through coffee farming training, boosting livelihoods. Our 'Smart Lecture Correction' program with Japan’s Keirinkan Co. aids Japanese students’ English skills while providing jobs for Nepalese youth, aiming to reduce migration and strengthen Nepal's future.
Tourism
Tourism is a core focus of IGC, driven by a vision to "preserve culture, tradition, and save the environment." Offering sustainable, immersive experiences in adventure and study tours, IGC provides services ranging from trekking and eco-tourism to luxury and research tours, ensuring engaging options for all visitors. Special holiday packages cater to global travelers, while study tours for Japanese students promote cultural exchange and appreciation of Nepal. Additionally, IGC arranges internships in Japan for Nepali students, enriching their experience and fostering cultural ties. Through these initiatives, IGC enhances tourism while empowering future leaders.
Agriculture
Nepalese coffee, known as high Himalayan Arabica or "family coffee," is cultivated in small quantities by families in the unique Himalayan climate. IGC, through its sister company Himalayan Luxury Beans (HLB), supports sustainable coffee farming by producing and distributing 80,000 free saplings annually, offering farmer training, and promoting cooperative models. HLB is also developing a coffee pulping and processing center with Japan's GGP program, focusing on specialty coffee. These efforts empower local farmers, enhance Nepalese coffee's global reputation, and contribute to economic growth, aligning with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals since launching Himalaya Luxury Beans in 2006.
Technology
Midnight Technology, an IGC sister company, leverages over seven years of experience in offshore business and system development to deliver innovative tech solutions in Nepal and internationally, focusing on the US and Japan. Committed to modernizing businesses by merging tradition with digitalization, Midnight Technology undertakes national projects, joint ventures, and IT security initiatives. Notably, it has placed six Nepali developers with firms in Osaka and hosts annual talent events to connect local students with Japanese IT firms. Looking ahead, Midnight Technology aims to expand its offerings in IT consultancy, eCommerce, and enterprise solutions, fostering partnerships for mutual growth.
Consultation
IGC empowers university students and businesses with specialized consulting services, offering field visits for practical industry experience and research support that drives knowledge and innovation. In partnership with Japan’s NTT Docomo, IGC contributes to SDG initiatives in Nepal, focusing on waste management and social projects, solidifying its role as a key consulting partner. Additionally, IGC connects skilled talent to global opportunities and offers high-skill development training to enhance professional competencies. With a mission to bridge education and industry, IGC equips students and professionals to succeed and create meaningful impact in their fields.
